About Robbie...
Robbie Boyd has recently performed alongside Katie Melua at an intimate industry showcase and has played with Frank Turner too. He’s appeared live on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ twice with his band, and has written a song with Matt Cardle from the X-Factor, and Ray Davies. He’s supported McFly and The Feeling in front of 30,000 people at the Olympic Park and his timeless songs have been regularly aired on BBC Radio 2 by Graham Norton, Paul O’Grady, Patrick Kielty, Sir Tim Rice, and Jeremy Vine, as well as Dave Gorman and Pete Donaldson on Absolute Radio. Tom Robinson and Chris Hawkins from BBC 6 Music as well as Hattie Pearson on Xfm have also shown him love. Robbie’s toured the world from America, Argentina, Australia, Europe, Scandinavia to Japan, and he's performed alongside the likes of Jack Savoretti, Daughter, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Jack Garrett, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Kooks and Turin Brakes as well as. He's also co-written songs with Barry Mason, as well as some of Nashville’s finest, such as Rhett Akins, James Otto and Roger Cooke. Oh, and he also sang next to Chris Martin from Coldplay on stage once!
Simon Cowell is a fan who compared his music to ‘Crosby, Stills and Nash’ once. Robbie’s sold out headline London shows at venues like Bush Hall, The Garage and The Jazz Café, and has played at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire too. Robbie was also the first ever Brit to perform on the roof of the O2 Arena. Robbie’s had lots of industry interest ranging from Universal Music, BMG, to Rollover Studios. He’s also recorded in Annie Lennox’s studio, and had interest from Chris Difford of Squeeze too. Robbie’s played at Bestival, Beautiful Days, Great Escape, The Isle of Wight Festival, Somersault, Standon Calling and Wilderness Festival amongst others and his live shows have been raved about in the Evening Standard, The Times (Lisa Verrico), and Time Out, with online support coming from Huffington Post, Music Week, and Record of the Day. He’s performed live on London Live several times and been played on Soho Radio too. His new albums 'Break The Chain' and 'Time Will Tell' have received great feedback from industry and fans, and bring out Boyd's lighter side.
